An ethereal character, displaying clean and precise
intensity, followed by a pure expression of bright,
natural fruit. With aromatic precision (white stone fruits
and fresh fruits), this wine evolves into delightful florals
and subtle biscuit. The subtle pleasure of its delicate texture is complemented
by a fine vinosity and concentrated aromatics. This wine
captivates with its harmonious blend of enticing flavors
(apple, crisp pear, and citrus) and roasted notes. A long,
persistent finish marked by freshness and minerality.
Ripe stone fruit sits at the center, with apricot and peach joined by citrus, subtle floral notes and a cooler mineral character. There is richness to the fruit, but also an underlying restraint that gives the wine clarity and definition. On the palate the wine is Structured and concentrated, yet driven by freshness. Ripe peach, apricot and citrus are carried by lively acidity and a distinctly mineral, lightly saline character. There is weight through the mid-palate without heaviness, leading into a long, precise finish. These are also recurring hallmarks of Seeberg across Loimer’s published vintage notes.
Deep and expressive, with raspberry and blackcurrant at its core, followed by a distinctive note of liquorice. The fruit is ripe and concentrated, but the aromatic profile remains clear and beautifully defined. On the palate the wine is round and elegant, with concentrated yet supple tannins giving the wine both structure and polish. Blackcurrant and raspberry return on the palate, joined by the peppery spice so characteristic of Syrah. The finish is persistent, balancing richness with a distinctly savoury edge.
Generous and intense, with black cherry at its core, followed by darker notes of cocoa and coffee. There is richness to the aromatic profile, but also an elegance and clarity that keeps the wine lifted and expressive. On the palate the wine is structured yet velvety, with generous fruit balanced by Barbera’s characteristic freshness. The 2022 combines richness with vibrant acidity, giving the wine both immediate harmony and the structure to evolve beautifully with time. The finish is long, smooth and silky.
Expressive and precise, with the freshness of Sauvignon Blanc set against a more mineral, restrained character. Rather than exuberant fruit, the impression is one of complexity and depth, reflecting the more structured style Pascal Jolivet identifies with Fume Blanc. On the palate the wine is Rich and composed, with a sense of weight balanced by freshness and mineral tension. The combination of limestone, flint and clay-limestone gives the wine complexity and structure, with a style designed to develop further with time.
Bright ruby red in the glass, Castello di Brolio opens with expressive aromas of ripe cherries, redcurrants and pomegranate layered with white pepper, cedar, tobacco, dried herbs and subtle floral nuances. The palate is vibrant and finely structured, balancing juicy Sangiovese fruit with fresh acidity and well-integrated, spicy tannins. Elegant yet energetic, it unfolds with mineral and Mediterranean herbal notes, leading to a long, persistent finish marked by purity, finesse and remarkable complexity.
